Engage with Business and Law students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Faculty of Business and Law Student Engagement team aims to link Curtin Business School and Curtin Law School students to the real business world. Throughout our students\u2019 degrees they are provided with opportunities to connect with industry, build networks and gain valuable work experience so they can graduate with the practical skills, connections and knowledge needed to succeed in the global marketplace.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \n \n

Industry Connect<\/h3><\/div>

Work Integrated Learning: <\/strong> Our internship program allows students to work towards a real outcome and gain valuable work experience. You could host an undergraduate, postgraduate or MBA student on a broad or specialised project. Internship lengths can be flexible depending on your business needs and can take place at any time throughout the year.<\/p>

Industry Projects:<\/strong> Industry-based projects enable students to be part of a business orientated multi-disciplinary team or work individually and engage with an external organisation on a complex project. Students will apply discipline knowledge, increase their engagement in practical settings, and enhance their career readiness.<\/p><\/div>

    Curtin Link<\/h3><\/div>

    Curtin Link is an innovative service connecting students from Curtin Business School and Curtin Law School with the community. Through Curtin Link not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises, small businesses and start-ups can receive integrated advisory services and business project support on a range of business, legal and taxation issues.<\/p><\/div>

      High Achievers<\/h3><\/div>

      The Business and Law High Achievers Program recognises and provides additional professional development opportunities to involved and exceptionally performing students in the Faculty.
      \nOpportunities to engage with these talented students can include participating in program events, networking, delivering presentations, mentoring, advising on program content or hosting a small group of High Achiever students at a Captains of Industry session.<\/p><\/div>

        Student Clubs & Panel Events<\/h3><\/div>

        Contribute to developing our future workforce by sharing your industry experience at a panel event, networking sundowner or host a workshop in collaboration with the Student Engagement team or with one of our student clubs.         Scholarships <\/h2>\n \n

        Many scholarships are structured to include mentoring, work experience and employment on graduation with the sponsoring organisation. This helps students to graduate with an industry focus, ready to take their knowledge and skills into the world, and also enables sponsors to benefit from having top graduates who are job ready, bringing expertise and energy to the businesses and organisations for which they work.<\/p>\n

        There are different types of scholarships:<\/p>\n

        • Need-based: <\/strong>financial need is part of the selection process<\/li>\n
        • Merit-based: <\/strong>awarded for superior academic achievement<\/li>\n
        • Awards: <\/strong>consider academic standing, financial and community involvement<\/li>\n
        • Prizes: <\/strong>given to students for superior academic achievement with additional non-academic selection criteria taken into consideration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n \n
