Anyone who identifies or suspects they have identified an unmarked product containing asbestos should IMMEDIATELY report it to Facilities Management on 9266 2020<\/b> or Health and Safety on 9266 4900 <\/b><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The University has an Asbestos Management program that involves the identification, assessment and control of asbestos related products on all University land.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the current Work Health and Safety legislation, workplaces must comply with the Code of Practice – How to manage and control asbestos in the workplace<\/em> which specifies obligations in relation to asbestos containing materials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line with this requirement, the University has an Asbestos Management Plan<\/strong> (AMP<\/a>)<\/a>, Asbestos Management Register (AMR) and supporting documentation for the management of asbestos-containing materials on our campuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accidental Asbestos Disturbance or Unexpected Finds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
