Curtin has several biological Physical Containment (PC) facilities used to contain its biohazardous microbiological\/plant\/animal research and teaching activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have a number of research facilities that are Certified by the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR)<\/a>, in which teaching and research with genetically modified organisms can be undertaken. There are PC2 and PC3 level lab, plant, and animal facilities available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have a number of research facilities that are\u00a0Approved Arrangements by the Department of Agriculture,<\/a>\u00a0in which teaching and research with quarantined biosecurity materials can be undertaken. There are BC1, BC2 and BC3 level microbiological laboratory and plant facilities available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To access any of these facilities, contact your Biosafety Partner<\/a>, who will help you to contact the Facility Manager in charge of an appropriate facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
