Before acquiring anything and bringing it onto Curtin campuses, you must complete a Pre-Acquisition Tool (PAT), to identify the hazards inherent in the product and seek any approvals you need from Curtin or Government regulatory bodies.

The PAT is an online resource that starts with the user stating what they want to acquire, and then tailors the questions and responses based on the information the user provides. The PAT includes links and information to Curtin and Regulator-based resources to provide the user with all the information they need to proceed with a compliant acquisition. When you finish the PAT, it will send you a summary email of all your responses for reference.
