{"id":2614,"date":"2022-02-03T04:41:08","date_gmt":"2022-02-03T04:41:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/library\/?p=2614"},"modified":"2025-05-29T00:10:07","modified_gmt":"2025-05-29T00:10:07","slug":"preparing-reading-lists-for-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/library\/preparing-reading-lists-for-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Preparing Reading Lists for 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In accordance with University policies, staff are requested to note the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A Library Reading List is required to be associated with all Blackboard instances &#8211; ensure Reading Lists are provided to international campuses where applicable;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All copying under the University&#8217;s statutory licence will be record in the Reading List system;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Existing Library resources should be prioritised for use;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only resources that are essential for successful completion of the unit should be tagged as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Essential\u00e2\u20ac\u009d &#8211; ensure essential resources are avaibale for purchase by the Library in electronic format before selecting the resource,;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Requests for new book purchases and statutory licence copying should be made by Friday the 12th of February 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Reading Lists can be created or existing Reading Lists rolled over using the support resources outlined below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Update on Reading Lists due to Library relocation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that&nbsp;<a href=\"\/refurb\/\">Library Building 105 is now closed for 2022<\/a>&nbsp;with the majority of the Library&#8217;s physical collections remaining inside the building. Physical items can be retrieved from the Library using Library&#8217;s Click and Collect service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Statutory Licence copying can still be requested through the Reading List software and the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Move to High Demand\u00e2\u20ac\u009d service will continue. High demand items will be available from Library Central in Building 103\/106A. However, to assist students, consider prioritising resources that are electronically available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add more electronically available web-based resources by using the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153CiteIt\u00e2\u20ac\u009d option.
