{"id":3501,"date":"2022-06-30T01:53:40","date_gmt":"2022-06-30T01:53:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/library\/?p=3501"},"modified":"2023-11-13T02:36:54","modified_gmt":"2023-11-13T02:36:54","slug":"preparing-reading-lists-for-semester-2-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/library\/preparing-reading-lists-for-semester-2-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Preparing Reading Lists for Semester 2 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With the start of Semester 2, 2022, teaching staff are reminded to arrange access to unit readings through the Library\u2019s Reading List service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The due date to notify the Library of new book purchases for learning and teaching and statutory licence copying for Semester 2 is <strong>Friday 8 July 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using Reading Lists ensures the University meets its copyright obligations and follows policy set out in the <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.curtin.edu.au\/local\/docs\/policy\/Course_Quality_Assurance_Manual.pdf\">Curtin Quality Assurance Manual<\/a>. All learning resources copied under the University\u2019s Statutory Licence must be recorded by being included on Reading Lists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A Library Reading List is required to be associated with all Blackboard instances \u2013 please ensure Reading Lists are provided to international campuses where applicable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All copying under the University\u2019s statutory licence will be recorded in the Reading List system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Existing Library resources should be prioritised for selection as unit readings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only resources that are essential for successful completion of the unit should be tagged as <strong>Essential<\/strong><em> <\/em>\u2013 please ensure essential resources are available for purchase by the Library in electronic format before selecting the resource.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Textbooks that students are required to purchase should be tagged as <strong>Prescribed Textbook<\/strong><em> <\/em>\u2013 please ensure textbooks are available for purchase by the Library in electronic format before adoption.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Need support using Reading Lists?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guided tours and video guides<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Generic support is available directly in Reading Lists. Click on the \u201cHelp\u201d Question Mark in the right top-hand pane of the Reading List software.
