Teaching staff can now create or roll over Library Reading Lists for 2024.

Preparing and publishing a reading list prior to the beginning of semester will allow the Reading List Team in the Library to check the content, purchase course materials and make sure that library resources are available for students in 2024.

Sending Reading Lists to the Library

If you haven’t finalised your entire Reading List, you can populate the first few weeks. The Library will start processing items ready for start of semester. When you have more readings for later weeks in the semester, add those additional readings and the Library will continue to process your reading list. Click here to get started.

Prescribed Textbooks

The Library has a digital-by-default collection development policy, and whenever possible, we will ensure that required textbooks are available to students online. If you have a textbook in mind for 2024, please let us know as early as possible so we can investigate its availability and let you know if there are likely to be any issues. You can let us know about your prescribed textbook through your Reading List.

Communicating with Students

The Library gets a lot of questions from students in the lead up to teaching weeks asking what their textbook will be. To help students get organised ahead of the publication of the unit outline, we have developed a website that will enable students to search by the unit name/code. Reading Lists will be the source of truth for this website, so ensure you add your textbooks early and mark them as a Prescribed Textbook for this unit.
