Titled <em>Drink Water Keep Breathing<\/em>, the exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the biology and evolutionary roots of stress, showcasing evidence-based strategies for managing it. With interactive stations, attendees can explore and practice various stress-relief techniques, including exercise, meditation, laughter, mindfulness, and reconnecting with nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Developed in collaboration with Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ partners, the exhibition features insights from psychologists from Curtin&#8217;s Counselling and Disability Services, trainers from Curtin Stadium, and professional staff from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.actbelongcommit.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Act Belong Commit<\/a>. This multidisciplinary approach ensures a rich, well-rounded exploration of stress and wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition begins by examining the stress response and physical impact of stress hormones on our bodies\u2014spoiler alert: it\u2019s not always beneficial. Visitors will gain an understanding of the wide range of stress triggers, from the unique challenges faced by university students to global events and internal stressors. Even John Curtin wasn\u2019t immune to stress and its effects!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drawing from the latest research and theories on stress, <em>Drink Water Keep Breathing<\/em> highlights various evidence-based techniques to combat stress. Whether it&#8217;s connecting with friends, staying active, or helping others, visitors will learn how these activities can significantly improve wellbeing. Additionally, the exhibition emphasizes the importance of one\u2019s mindset towards stress, helping students recognise that stress is a natural and expected part of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key feature of the exhibition is its interactive component. Visitors are encouraged to engage with five core wellbeing activities, such as immersing themselves in nature with a green space and forest sounds in the Library&#8217;s foyer.
