In this article, Jia Yu Lo shares her experience transferring from Curtin Malaysia<\/strong> to Curtin Australia <\/strong>\u2013 Â鶹ֱ²¥\u2019s main campus in Perth, Western Australia (WA). Meet Jia Yu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jia Yu\u2019s university journey began at Curtin Malaysia, where she enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce<\/a>, majoring in Accounting and Finance.  <\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cCurtin\u2019s international recognition, strong reputation in teaching and impactful research appealed to me,\u201d she explains.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve also always wanted to study in Australia, and I knew that transferring from Curtin Malaysia to Curtin Australia was a perfect opportunity to do so.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a clear vision for her future, Jia Yu decided to take the leap \u2013 transferring to Curtin Australia and expanding her horizons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Settling into classes in Australia brought new \u2013 and welcome \u2013 experiences for Jia Yu.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI enjoy using the modern computer labs and the library\u2019s extensive resources \u2013 they make studying and completing assignments much easier.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What stands out to Jia Yu about study at Curtin Australia is the balance of theory and practice.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe teaching style is interactive at Curtin Australia, with group discussions and practical activities,\u201d she says.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI appreciate how the course allows me to build a strong foundation in accounting and finance concepts, and then apply them through real-world case studies, projects and using industry-standard software.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the long term, Jia Yu is ambitious about joining a global accounting firm like Deloitte, EY, or KPMG. She says Curtin is helping make that dream a reality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCurtin\u2019s mix of technical knowledge and hands-on learning is preparing me to meet my career goals.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jia Yu\u2019s weekends are filled with sunshine, whether she\u2019s visiting Kings Park or relaxing on the beach with friends.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
