Curtin\u2019s Campus Transfer Program<\/a> lets you begin your studies at one of our global campuses and then transfer to Curtin Australia<\/a> \u2013 our main campus in Perth, Western Australia (WA). It\u2019s a chance to build a global mindset, gain industry insights and advance your learning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Evangeline Tanoto, transferring from Curtin Singapore <\/strong>to Curtin Australia<\/strong> was a step toward her career goals and a chance to grow personally and academically.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where it all started: Curtin Singapore <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Evangeline\u2019s journey began at Curtin Singapore<\/a>, where she enrolled in our Bachelor of Information Technology<\/a>. From the outset, she was driven to gain an international perspective and eventually transfer to another Curtin campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cÂ鶹ֱ²¥ has multiple campuses across the world, allowing me to study internationally and experience a truly global education,\u201d explains Evangeline.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI knew transferring campuses could be a life-changing experience that would strengthen my future career.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curtin\u2019s strong rankings in information technology and long history of teaching the subject also gave Evangeline confidence in her decision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCurtin\u2019s high rankings in the subject of Information Technology stood out to me,\u201d she says. \u201cThe university was formerly known as the Western Australia Institute of Technology, showcasing their commitment to academic excellence and history of teaching technology.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support made the transfer journey smooth <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Transferring campus is a big change \u2013 and for Evangeline, Curtin\u2019s support made the transition seamless. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe process of transferring to Curtin Perth was smooth, thanks to the strong support from my agent and the Curtin team. They responded promptly to my questions and helped resolve issues quickly,\u201d she says.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our scholarships also made a difference for Evangeline and her family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Studying abroad as an international student is a big decision, especially because it can be financially demanding. My scholarship covered part of my tuition fees, which was incredibly helpful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cReceiving this scholarship showed me and my parents that Curtin supports international students to grow and succeed \u2013 and it made the decision to transfer much easier.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is it like to study at Curtin Australia? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Evangeline notes the commitment to immersive learning opportunities as a standout part of being a Curtin Australia student. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWorkshops, hackathons and hands-on projects pushed me out of my comfort zone and gave me the confidence to apply what I learned in real-world settings,\u201d Evangeline says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThrough clubs and events, I\u2019ve networked with industry experts and built strong connections with the Curtin community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese experiences are helping me become a collaborative, adaptable graduate and a great communicator. The teamwork and leadership skills I\u2019m developing here will be exciting to take into my career.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evangeline is already looking ahead to her career \u2013 aspiring to work in IT and user experience design in the healthcare industry.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is it like to live in Australia?  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

So, what is it like to move from Singapore to Perth, Australia? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, a campus transfer to Curtin Australia comes with its challenges \u2013 like new routines, lifestyles and communities \u2013 but that\u2019s what makes the experience so rewarding. For Evangeline, moving to Perth was about embracing the differences in people and place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPerth is home to such a diverse mix of ethnicities and cultures, and everyone has been so welcoming,\u201d she explains. \u201cIn day-to-day interactions, people here are genuinely friendly, which has made settling in much easier.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evangeline also loved swapping skyscrapers for scenic spaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne of the things I have enjoyed most during my transfer has been Perth\u2019s beautiful weather and \u2018road trip\u2019 destinations. I\u2019ve been fortunate enough to travel north and explore deserts, spot wild kangaroos, meet quokkas and even swim with dolphins in the wild. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLiving in Perth has been such a unique experience for me, and I am enjoying every part of it.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
