Â鶹ֱ²¥ of Technology\u2019s Digital Media Unit (DMU) has won the education category of the 2008 WA Web Awards.<\/p>\n

The awards, organised by the Australian Web Industry Association, were presented last week.<\/p>\n

Curtin DMU Director, Rick Barrett, said the award recognised the concerted team effort that had gone into upgrading the University\u2019s corporate website.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s pleasing that the enormous amount of work that our team has put in over the past 12 months in redeveloping our website has been acknowledged in such a way,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d also like to acknowledge the support of Curtin\u2019s web community who have worked equally hard to ensure that the content, look and feel of their sections of the site work well and integrate seamlessly with the whole site.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the new developments planned for 2009, Mr Barrett hoped for \u2018back-to-back\u2019 wins.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole University is committed to the need for the website to be the key source of information about Curtin and what we offer,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
