  {"id":17360,"date":"2008-06-23T05:47:40","date_gmt":"2008-06-22T21:47:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-marketing-professor-awarded-for-editing-excellence\/"},"modified":"2008-06-23T05:47:40","modified_gmt":"2008-06-22T21:47:40","slug":"curtin-marketing-professor-awarded-for-editing-excellence","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-marketing-professor-awarded-for-editing-excellence\/","title":{"rendered":"Curtin marketing professor awarded for editing excellence"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"title\">\n<div id=\"titledesc\">\n<p>C180\/08<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span>23 June 2008<\/span><\/div>\n<p>Associate Professor Ian Phau from Curtin Business School (CBS) has recently  been singled out as an Outstanding Reviewer for the Emerald Literati Network  Awards for Excellence.<\/p>\n<p>The School of Marketing professor, who coordinates the Marketing Honours  program and founded the Curtin Marketing Association, received the Award for his  dedication and significant service as a reviewer for the Journal of Young  Consumers.<\/p>\n<p>The Award recognises Associate Professor Phau as the most useful reviewer  based on the group of international scholars who have reviewed the manuscripts.<\/p>\n<p>Associate Professor Phau said he was proud to receive such a significant  accolade and hopes to continue to raise the profile of Curtin academics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReceiving this Award for a job that I really enjoy is a real honour, and it  is especially nice to see hard work come to fruition,\u201d Associate Professor Phau  said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope to continue to increase the profile of both Curtin and Western  Australian academics as world class competitors in education and research.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Head of Curtin\u2019s School of Marketing, Professor Ram Ramaseshan, congratulated  Associate Professor Phau on his achievement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe School of Marketing is very proud to have accomplished staff like  Associate Professor Phau whose achievements are recognised globally, and I  congratulate him on receiving this important award,\u201d Professor Ramaseshan  said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis significant wealth of knowledge in his area of expertise has helped many  authors and researchers to improve and develop their scholarly works.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Associate Professor Phau has been the editor of the highly acclaimed Asia  Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics for the past four years. Since his  leadership of the journal, downloads and citations of the articles have  increased five fold.
