  {"id":17395,"date":"2009-08-28T05:44:44","date_gmt":"2009-08-27T21:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/wasm-cadetship-offers-experience-of-a-lifetime\/"},"modified":"2009-08-28T05:44:44","modified_gmt":"2009-08-27T21:44:44","slug":"wasm-cadetship-offers-experience-of-a-lifetime","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/wasm-cadetship-offers-experience-of-a-lifetime\/","title":{"rendered":"WASM cadetship offers experience of a lifetime"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ of Technology\u2019s Western Australian School of Mines (WASM) has 20 cadetships available for 2010.<\/p>\n<p>The $10,000 cadetships, facilitated by the WA School of Mines Graduates\u2019 Association (WASMGA) in conjunction with the mining industry and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, are being offered to mining engineering or metallurgical students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis cadetship can make the experience of a lifetime possible and give students a head start with there careers,\u201d said WASMGA President Tony James.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll WASM graduates have great memories of studying in Kalgoorlie and understand the importance of a mining education in close connection to the mining industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that studying in Kalgoorlie gives students a better understanding of what life is like when living and working in the mining industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cadetships are open to all students who select a WASM mining or metallurgy course in Kalgoorlie as their first preference when applying for tertiary study in 2010.
