  {"id":17419,"date":"2008-05-05T05:52:54","date_gmt":"2008-05-04T21:52:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-benefits-from-more-buses-to-canning-bridge-train-station\/"},"modified":"2008-05-05T05:52:54","modified_gmt":"2008-05-04T21:52:54","slug":"curtin-benefits-from-more-buses-to-canning-bridge-train-station","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-benefits-from-more-buses-to-canning-bridge-train-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Curtin benefits from more buses to Canning Bridge train station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>C128\/08<\/p>\n<p>Transperth has put on extra buses during peak times for Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ of Technology students and staff travelling to and from the Canning Bridge train station.<\/p>\n<p>Curtin Executive Director of Properties Mr Stephen Harvey said that there would be more Route 100 buses running between Canning Bridge and Curtin on weekday mornings and afternoons.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Demand for the new, high-frequency service is outstripping capacity during peak times,&#8221; Mr Harvey said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The extra buses are all about convenience for our students and staff,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Curtin is delighted that Transperth has increased capacity to better cope with peak demand.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are pleased that so many of our students and staff are taking advantage of the Route 100 and Route 101 bus services which are also available to the local community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Transperth Executive Director Mark Burgess said there were now six more Route 100 trips each weekday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Reflecting the level of demand, we have put on extra buses between 8.20am and 9.20am in the mornings and 2.55pm and 4.55pm in the afternoons,&#8221; Mr Burgess said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The new 100 and 101 bus services started when the Canning Bridge Interchange opened along with the rest of the Mandurah Line last December.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>*All bus services are subject to change depending on Transperth timetabling.
