  {"id":17431,"date":"2009-09-15T01:59:08","date_gmt":"2009-09-14T17:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-student-masters-the-mainframe\/"},"modified":"2009-09-15T01:59:08","modified_gmt":"2009-09-14T17:59:08","slug":"curtin-student-masters-the-mainframe","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-student-masters-the-mainframe\/","title":{"rendered":"Curtin student masters the mainframe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ of Technology second year computing student David Wright has out-performed over 320 fellow undergraduate students from across Australia to win IBM\u2019s Master the Mainframe contest.<\/p>\n<p>The competition \u2013 in its second year \u2013 is designed to familiarise students with concepts for the large enterprise computing industry and build mainframe skills in future IT professionals.<\/p>\n<p>For Bentley resident David, 25, the competition was a positive experience, and a rare chance to get involved with a large, multinational company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI entered the competition to broaden my knowledge,&#8221;
