Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ of Technology says there was little disruption to students today despite strike action by union members, as part of a national industrial campaign.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am pleased to say it was business as usual for the majority of our students at Curtin today, and only a very small number of staff participated in the one-day strike,\u201d said Curtin Vice-Chancellor Professor Jeanette Hacket.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur staff have shown a great commitment to our students and I thank them for that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Professor Hacket said she hoped the pay issues and other conditions could be resolved as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe put a new offer to the unions last week which is fair and reasonable and keeps Curtin in the top third in the sector in terms of pay and conditions,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope that this matter can be resolved as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n
