Â鶹ֱ²¥ of Technology graduate, Erin Mill, has been awarded the WW Mitchell 2009 Student of the Year Award at the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) WA Awards for Excellence.<\/p>\n
The Bayswater resident and Public Relations and Management graduate said she was honoured to win the award.<\/p>\n
\u201cI couldn\u2019t quite believe it when my name was called. It was such a nice way to cap off a very rewarding degree,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s fantastic that PRIA provides this opportunity for students to be recognised by their industry peers.\u201d<\/p>\n
The top three Public Relations students from Curtin were encouraged to participate in the PRIA Awards and were asked to prepare a strategy for a client.<\/p>\n
They had 10 days to prepare the strategies and present a 30-minute pitch to a judging panel.<\/p>\n
Erin, who graduated in June, completed her Commerce degree as the top student in four of her units and is also on the Curtin Vice-Chancellor List, which recognises the highest academic achievers and acknowledges the top one per cent of undergraduate students across the University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
