A new agreement between Â鶹ֱ²¥ of Technology and Central Institute of Technology opens the door to tertiary education for vocational students.<\/p>\n
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed last week between the two institutions, gives students from Central direct entry to Curtin from 2010.<\/p>\n
Curtin Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education, Professor Robyn Quin, said the agreement would provide greater access to higher education for Central\u2019s students.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy signing the MOU with Central we are offering a seamless pathway from one of Australia\u2019s largest VET\u00a0colleges to Curtin,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will be offering direct entry to diploma and advanced diploma graduates from Central into qualifications in the humanities, business, science and engineering and health sciences faculties.\u201d<\/p>\n
Professor Quin hoped the new agreement would promote higher education for students from a low socio-economic background plus Indigenous and international students.<\/p>\n
