Â鶹ֱ²¥ of Technology has been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice for Women (EOCFW) Citation for the ninth consecutive year.<\/p>\n
Curtin is one of only five organisations in WA to be awarded this title this year.<\/p>\n
The award highlights Curtin\u2019s inclusive organisational culture proudly championed by its inaugural female Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jeanette Hacket.<\/p>\n
Professor Hacket said the award was a wonderful endorsement of the University\u2019s culture.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo receive this acknowledgement for nine consecutive years is an extremely satisfying result and is testimony to our work environment,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe current profile of female senior executives is significant and women are well represented\u00a0across the\u00a0University including\u00a0the University\u2019s Council, boards and committees.<\/p>\n
\u201cPrograms such as the Advancing Women Strategy have also been developed to increase the number of women in senior roles and retain talented women at the University.<\/p>\n
\u201cGender equity in salaries, an open and consultative management style, and a transparent equal opportunity and anti-discrimination policy gives Curtin the competitive edge in the employment market.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Federal Government\u2019s EOWA Employer of Choice for Women Citation is awarded to organisations that demonstrate that they have policies and practices that support women across the organisation.<\/p>\n
