  {"id":18605,"date":"2016-06-02T03:19:05","date_gmt":"2016-06-01T19:19:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/jon-sanders-sets-sail-30-years-later-curtin-university\/"},"modified":"2022-12-06T09:18:43","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T01:18:43","slug":"jon-sanders-sets-sail-30-years-later-curtin-university","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/jon-sanders-sets-sail-30-years-later-curtin-university\/","title":{"rendered":"Jon Sanders\u2019 sets sail 30 years later at Âé¶¹Ö±²¥"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ has used social media to recreate Jon Sanders\u2019 1986 \u2013 1988 world-record breaking solo triple circumnavigation of the globe, 30 years after he first set sail.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-35689\" src=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/CUL00039194.jpg\" alt=\"CUL00039194\" \/>Ms Catherine Clark, Project Leader, said the Triple Solo Sailor blog will draw upon the Project Endeavour Collection held by Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Library, which includes scientific data, yacht diagrams, photos and documents about Sanders\u2019 voyage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Triple Solo Sailor blog will feature logbook data, pictures and footage taken on the voyage by Jon Sanders.
