Â鶹ֱ²¥ has appointed Professor Nigel de Bussy as Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Curtin Business School following a competitive recruitment process.<\/p>\n
After graduating from Oxford University, Professor de Bussy gained more than a decade\u2019s experience in the public relations profession in the United Kingdom and Australia, consulting to major private sector and government clients.<\/p>\n
Professor de Bussy is a Fellow of both the Public Relations Institute of Australia and the Australian Marketing Institute, and a Certified Practising Marketer. His research has been published in a number of leading journals in the fields of public relations, communication management and marketing communications.<\/p>\n
Â鶹ֱ²¥ Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said she was delighted to announce that Professor Nigel de Bussy had been appointed the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Curtin Business School.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the former Head of the School of Marketing at Curtin, Professor de Bussy was instrumental in the opening of The Agency, an innovative teaching and research facility that allows Curtin Business School students and professionals to experience first-hand how major global brands and companies monitor their online presence using social media analytics,\u201d Professor Terry said.<\/p>\n
\u201cProfessor de Bussy brings with him a wealth of experience to the position and I look forward to seeing the Curtin Business School continue to flourish under his leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n
Professor de Bussy said he was committed to positioning the Curtin Business School as a truly global business school.<\/p>\n
\u201cThroughout my 23 years at Curtin, the Curtin Business School has been highly successful in delivering quality business education programs to large numbers of undergraduate and postgraduate students in WA, as well as multiple international locations,\u201d Professor de Bussy said.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo further grow in the vastly different environment of 2017 and beyond, the Curtin Business School will need to achieve excellence and global impact by fostering the values of responsible entrepreneurship, cosmopolitanism and the practical application of knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n
