  {"id":18854,"date":"2017-09-11T05:04:02","date_gmt":"2017-09-10T21:04:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-university-alumni-asked-share-lightbulb-moment\/"},"modified":"2017-09-11T05:04:02","modified_gmt":"2017-09-10T21:04:02","slug":"curtin-university-alumni-asked-share-lightbulb-moment","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-university-alumni-asked-share-lightbulb-moment\/","title":{"rendered":"Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ alumni asked to share their \u2018lightbulb moment\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the next six weeks Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ graduates will be asked to share their \u2018lightbulb moment\u2019 as the University launches its inaugural Alumni Annual Appeal.<\/p>\n<p>During the Appeal, students, also known as \u2018Alumni Appeal Ambassadors\u2019, will contact alumni and ask them to reflect on the role Curtin has played in their life\u2019s decisions and the paths they took post-university.<\/p>\n<p>Alumni will also be invited to make a donation to the University, with funds raised during the Appeal helping to create new opportunities for those students with boundless potential but limited means, as well as helping students and recent graduates to get innovative ideas off the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Âé¶¹Ö±²¥\u2019s Chief Advancement Officer, Ms Celia Hurley, said the appeal was an important initiative for the University to become more connected with its alumni.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe appeal is a fantastic fundraising and engagement opportunity that will support vital scholarship and innovation programs,\u201d Ms Hurley said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are always looking for creative ways to reconnect and engage with our alumni community.
