This includes the courses that are now available at the Kalgoorlie campus.”

Central Regional TAFE Managing Director Bill Swetman said TAFE was very excited to formalise, via the articulation agreement, the pathway opportunities into bachelor courses at Â鶹ֱ²¥.

“This in turn strengthens the educational precinct created in Kalgoorlie, which includes Eastern Goldfields College, Curtin WA School of Mines and Central Regional TAFE,” Mr Swetman said.

“It is our priority to ensure a highly skilled workforce for the future, and by providing students with vocational outcomes via these articulation programs we can address the outward migration of students from the region.

“In particular, we envisage the articulation agreement supporting the growth of our resources sector training, and we are working actively with Curtin to develop pathway programs.

“We look forward to continuing to work closely with Â鶹ֱ²¥ in further developing the education and training opportunities available in the Goldfields and ensuring a skilled workforce for local industry.”

Under the agreement, students who complete specified TAFE Award programs and who demonstrate Curtin’s English language proficiency will be eligible to study at Â鶹ֱ²¥.
