Â鶹ֱ²¥ has jumped into the world\u2019s top 250 universities in the 2018-19 University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP).<\/p>\n
The University rose to the global ranking of 249, up from 272 last year, and remained ninth in Australia for the fifth year in a row, according to the latest results released today.<\/p>\n
Â鶹ֱ²¥ Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry welcomed Curtin\u2019s results in the important research ranking, which measures the world\u2019s top 2500 universities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe latest URAP shows Â鶹ֱ²¥ has been named among the top 250 universities in the world and continues to hold ninth place in Australia,\u201d Professor Terry said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is an outstanding result that demonstrates the University\u2019s commitment to producing a high quality and large volume of research on the world stage.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe University will continue to undertake important research that is making a genuine difference to local, national and global communities.\u201d<\/p>\n
The URAP is a research-only ranking using indicators that measure the quality, quantity and impact of publications, as well as international collaboration.<\/p>\n
The annual ranking is published by the Informatics Institute at the Middle East Technical University, in Turkey.<\/p>\n
