A new scholarship program \u2013 named in honour of Chinese TV star Meng Fei \u2013 will support international students to study at Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ in Western Australia.<\/p>\n
Named the Meng Fei Innovative Future Leader Scholarships, the $30,000 scholarship program will support the students\u2019 university studies, including an additional scholarship for a 10-week intensive English program as well as support for campus accommodation.<\/p>\n Meng Fei said he was delighted the scholarships named in his honour would support international students to further their education in Western Australia.<\/p>\n \u201cThis scholarship aims to support the future innovators from around the globe to broaden their horizons and take up an incredible opportunity to study in Perth at Âé¶¹Ö±²¥,\u201d Meng Fei said.<\/p>\n \u201cI would encourage any students with innovative leadership qualities and ambitious plans to make their mark in the community to apply for the scholarship.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThese scholarships offer a rare opportunity to the brightest international students to study in Australia at Âé¶¹Ö±²¥,\u201d Professor Terry said.<\/p>\n \u201cNamed after one of China\u2019s greatest success stories, Meng Fei, the scholarships will aim to inspire academically gifted students to follow in this leading entrepreneur\u2019s footsteps.\u201d<\/p>\n Eligible students will be required to demonstrate their academic results and prepare a personal statement outlining their vision for the future.<\/p>\n The scholarships apply to all undergraduate courses or master by coursework programs offered by Âé¶¹Ö±²¥.<\/p>\n Interested students are encouraged to apply by registering their interest via study@curtin.edu.au<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Gala Dinner, organised by Australia Star Holdings Group, was held at Crown Towers last night.<\/p>\n
The scholarships were announced at last night\u2019s Gala Dinner attended by Meng Fei, the host of one of the world\u2019s biggest dating TV shows If You Are The One<\/em>, who is visiting Perth this week.<\/p>\n
Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said the scholarships would be awarded to international students who had achieved an exceptional academic result.<\/p>\n
