Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ has risen to a national ranking of ninth in Australia in the Center for World University Rankings\u2019 (CWUR) 2019-20 edition.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s ranking, which measures the academic performance of 20,000 universities across the globe, also positioned Curtin 360th<\/sup> in the world \u2013 a jump of 40 places.<\/p>\n Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said the University\u2019s latest ranking results showed a continued improvement on the world stage.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Center for World University Rankings result places Curtin ninth in Australia, an increase of seven places that positions Curtin among the nation\u2019s highest-ranking universities,\u201d Professor Terry said.<\/p>\n \u201cThis global ranking assesses the quality of education and academic staff, alumni employment and research performance, confirming Curtin\u2019s position among the world\u2019s top academic institutions.\u201d<\/p>\n Based in the United Arab Emirates, the Center for World University Rankings is a consulting organisation that provides policy advice, strategic insights and consulting services to governments and universities to improve educational and research outcomes.<\/p>\n The Center\u2019s annual academic rankings of global universities places an equal emphasis on the learning environment and research performance.<\/p>\n
