{"id":19936,"date":"2022-08-16T02:10:42","date_gmt":"2022-08-15T18:10:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-university-in-worlds-top-one-percent-of-universities\/"},"modified":"2023-01-05T10:37:44","modified_gmt":"2023-01-05T02:37:44","slug":"curtin-university-in-worlds-top-one-percent-of-universities","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-university-in-worlds-top-one-percent-of-universities\/","title":{"rendered":"Â鶹ֱ²¥ in world\u2019s top one percent of universities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Â鶹ֱ²¥ is again ranked in the world\u2019s top one percent of universities and ninth in Australia, according to the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Released annually by the ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, ARWU ranks more than 1800 universities worldwide and publishes the top 1000 according to four research criteria: Quality of Education; Quality of Faculty; Research Output; and Per Capita Performance.<\/p>\n<p>Â鶹ֱ²¥ Vice-Chancellor Professor Harlene Hayne said it was pleasing to see Curtin\u2019s strong research record recognised on the world stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecognition on this list illustrates not only the high esteem in which Curtin is held internationally, but that we are a university committed to high impact research that delivers real value for both industry and the community,\u201d Professor Hayne said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis ranking achievement is just one measure of Curtin\u2019s high-quality research, which is only made possible by the curiosity, drive and commitment of our dedicated and passionate researchers and students, who together strive to make a real difference to people around the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Curtin was also ranked in the world\u2019s top one percent of universities in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topuniversities.com\/qs-world-university-rankings?utm_source=topnav\">QS World University Rankings (QSWUR)<\/a> 2023, achieving its highest ever result.
