Â鶹ֱ²¥ has achieved its best-ever ranking in the QS World University Rankings, rising 10 places to 183rd position globally out of the world\u2019s top 1,500 universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024 results \u2013 the 20th<\/sup> edition \u2013 showed Curtin\u2019s strong performance was bolstered by a significant improvement in its academic reputation standing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University also scored among the top 10 universities in Australia for the new performance indicator of international research network, which measures an institution\u2019s collaboration with international partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Â鶹ֱ²¥ Vice-Chancellor Professor Harlene Hayne said the University continued to excel on the world stage, with Curtin improving year-on-year since 2018 to climb more than 100 places globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCurtin continues to climb the QS World University Rankings in recognition of the University\u2019s outstanding academic reputation and impactful international research collaborations,\u201d Professor Hayne said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cResults like these aren\u2019t possible without the unwavering commitment of our industry partners and dedicated team of researchers, teaching and professional staff, so this outcome is testament to all their hard work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was tremendous to see all WA\u2019s public universities rising in the QS World University Rankings this year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The QSWUR evaluates the world\u2019s top 1,500 universities based on the metrics of research and discovery, employability and outcomes, learning experience, global engagement and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024 edition analysed almost 3,000 institutions across the globe including 17.5 million recorded publications and 141.6 million recorded citations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results are released annually by global higher education analysts Quacquarelli Symonds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
