{"id":22581,"date":"2023-09-28T10:11:44","date_gmt":"2023-09-28T02:11:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/?post_type=media-release&#038;p=22581"},"modified":"2023-09-28T10:12:58","modified_gmt":"2023-09-28T02:12:58","slug":"curtins-global-outlook-ensures-ranking-success","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtins-global-outlook-ensures-ranking-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Curtin\u2019s global outlook ensures ranking success"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Â鶹ֱ²¥ continues to shine on the world stage, again ranked among the world\u2019s top 250 universities and placed 12<sup>th<\/sup> in Australia, according to the 2024 Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THEWUR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest results released today also show Curtin has out-performed most other Australian universities in the International Outlook category, placing second nationally and ranking 53 in the world. Curtin also ranked 161 globally for Research Quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curtin Vice-Chancellor Professor Harlene Hayne said Curtin\u2019s outstanding results reflect its proven ability to attract staff, students and collaborators from around the world, as well as its outstanding reputation for research excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor the second year running, Curtin placed in the 201-250 ranking band for universities. We are particularly proud to have scored highly in the International Outlook metrics, which measure the proportion of international staff, international students and the international co-authorship of research papers,\u201d Professor Hayne said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne of our strategic drivers is to ensure that when you join Curtin, you become part of an international family, with a strong global outlook that encourages and embraces an inclusive, multicultural and outward-looking environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur high Research Quality ranking is also pleasing, proving Curtin stands tall on the world stage and evidenced by our focus on research projects with impact.
