A new report<\/a> from the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre<\/a> (BCEC) has laid bare the scale and severity of Western Australia\u2019s housing crisis, with data revealing more than 210,000 households now consider their housing unaffordable \u2014 an increase of 91 per cent in just two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BCEC Housing Affordability in Western Australia 2025 Report <\/em>draws on new insights from the 2024 Australian Housing Conditions Data Infrastructure Survey (AHCDIS)<\/em>, which captures national lived housing experiences, as well as WA suburb-level rental analysis to present the most comprehensive picture yet of the State\u2019s housing pressures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
