If you\u2019re on a budget, head over to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guild.curtin.edu.au\/g-mart\">G Mart<\/a> to see which second-hand textbooks are on offer \u2013 you can pick up your stationery while you\u2019re there!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Get to know the campus.<\/strong> Organise a time to come to campus while it is quiet and locate the buildings and rooms where you have tutorials and lectures. It\u2019s also a good idea to figure out how you\u2019re getting to campus and familiarise yourself with the route.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Get a start on your readings.<\/strong> For most units, you\u2019ll be expected to have done some reading before your first lecture or tutorial. Sometimes they can be pretty heavy, so it\u2019s a good idea to get onto it as soon as possible!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compare timetables with your friends.<\/strong> If you\u2019ve got friends studying at Curtin this semester, send each other your timetables and organise a time to meet up during the first week! Catching up with friends on campus is a great way to reduce stress while you\u2019re settling into university life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make the most of your free time.<\/strong> Once university starts, spare time can be hard to find in between all your other commitments \u2013 so make the most of it while you can!
