Here\u2019s everything you need to know to get online exam ready.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is IRIS?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Curtin\u2019s Intelligent Remote Invigilation System (IRIS) is a computer program that helps deter and detect academic dishonesty in online tests and exams.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How does IRIS Work? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IRIS records the audio, video and screen of students\u2019 work environment during online tests and flags behaviour that may show academic dishonesty. This helps provide markers with greater assurance of assessment integrity, while allowing students to work in a convenient location of your choosing<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How does IRIS detect suspicious behaviour?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We recommend you read through the <a href=\"https:\/\/students.curtin.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2020\/02\/What_Is_IRIS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IRIS@CURTIN guideline<\/a> which explains how IRIS@CURTIN works and what Curtin invigilators flag as suspicious behaviour.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I set-up and use IRIS?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re undertaking an online exam, you\u2019ll need to download the IRIS@Curtin software on your computer before the commencement of your exam.<\/p>\n<p>IRIS works through a Google Chrome extension.
