How will you get through all those last assignments, and then study for and perform well on those exams? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You know it\u2019s essential to hit the books hard, to get the grades you need, to get the career you have been dreaming of, yet you often get stuck. So why can\u2019t you get yourself to study consistently? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Humans don\u2019t do anything that they\u2019re not motivated to do. Motivation determines what we want to do, how long we want to do it for and how hard we want to try to get to our desired outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Understanding how motivation works is key to making the most out of this period of struggle. Here are some quick tips to make your study tasks more manageable and less of a threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Three ways to boost your motivation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Consider your values<\/strong>. Ask yourself, how does your work actually align with yourself or your values?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Try delayed gratification.<\/strong> Rewards feel greater when you delay them.
