Are you a student who is passionate about the environment and a strong believer in the power of education to make change? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curtin’s University Advancement team is looking for a diverse mix of nine student champions <\/strong>who will work in partnership with staff and serve as champions (spokespersons) for the Planet Positive certificate\/specialisation, including fundraising and sponsorship appeals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s involved?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The commitment will be 1-2 hours per week over the semester and participation may be counted towards Curtin Extra recognition<\/a> through the Student Partnership and Voice program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Champions will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Always operate and deliver outcomes within the framework of Curtin\u2019s values.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Actively help promote the Program and scholarship scheme externally with a view to helping raise awareness and funds for the scholarships.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Devote one to two hours a week to Champion activity which may include meetings, media training, photo and film shoots, and providing feedback and recommendations on strategies, tactics, collateral and creatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Respond to correspondence from University Advancement within a 12-hour period.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    There is also the possibility that the commitment may extend into semester two of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How do I become a student champion?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Expressions of interest are now open and will close Sunday 12 March 2023<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As part of the expression of interest, you will need to answer:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    a. In 200 words, explain why you think education is the key in combatting the effects of climate change.
    b. In 200 words, explain what planet positive means to you.
    c. In 200 words, explain why you would make an outstanding Planet Positive Champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
