Digital Connections: The Directory Consolidation Project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Curtin is moving Microsoft Student Accounts to the same directory where Staff Accounts are located which is a significant step forward in enabling collaboration and engagement between students and lecturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Impacts to You: What You Need to Know and Do<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From 5:00 pm 17 November to 8:00 am 20 November your student accounts including your OneDrive and email data will be migrated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During this time students may not have access to email, OneDrive, and other Microsoft services provided by Curtin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other data such as <strong>MS Teams files<\/strong> and <strong>SharePoint<\/strong> pages and files <strong>won&#8217;t be migrated<\/strong> and <strong>will be deleted if you do not act<\/strong>. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>OneNote<\/strong> files are backed up to your OneDrive account unless you specifically changed the location.&nbsp; If you are unsure where your OneNote files are being saved, we recommend taking a backup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please see the below user guides aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <ol>\n<li>Open OneNote Desktop Client and log out of your Student account (or all applicable accounts)<\/li>\n<li>Log in to OneNote with your Personal account\n<ol>\n<li>If you don\u2019t already have a notebook created that you want to copy your data into: Navigate to the File Menu Option &gt; \u2018Create New Notebook\u2019<\/li>\n<li>If you already have an existing notebook:\u00a0 Navigate to the File Menu Option &gt; \u2018Open New Notebook\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once this new Notebook has been created\/opened it should appear in the top left corner of OneNote<\/li>\n<li>Now, navigate to the bottom left corner where your initials are, click on this icon and press the \u2018+\u2019 button next to \u2018Connected Services\u2019<\/li>\n<li>This will open up a \u2018Connected Accounts\u2019 window, and under \u2018Add Storage Account\u2019, click \u2018OneDrive\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Enter your student email address in the pop up window<\/li>\n<li>Click the icon with your initials again (in bottom left corner) and you should see both your personal account and student account under \u2018Connected Services\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to File &gt; \u2018Open Notebook\u2019 and select your Student OneNote Notebook (called &lt;Student Name&gt; @ Â鶹ֱ²¥ of Technology)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure your Student Notebook is selected in the top left corner of OneNote and select the first section (i.e. tab), right click and select \u2018Copy Section To\u2026\u2019<\/li>\n<li>This action will open a new pop-up window and allow you to select a new notebook to copy to, select your personal notebook you created\/opened in step 2<\/li>\n<li>Repeat Step 9-10 for each section you wish to copy<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>*Please note you will need a personal Microsoft account, if you don\u2019t have one, please create one.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>            <\/div>\n\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<p>If you access your Curtin email through an app on your phone or device, you\u2019ll need to delete your Curtin email profile from the app and then re-add it to restore
