In today\u2019s world, no one can argue that your online presence doesn\u2019t matter. It matters socially, and when you\u2019re a university student focused on establishing or developing your career, it really<\/em> matters professionally. Think about it \u2013 what is the first thing you<\/em> do when you come across someone for the first time? Chances are, you look them up online – I know I do!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why would employers be any different? Easy answer \u2013 they\u2019re not. According to Sutherland et al. (2019)<\/a>, over 80% of prospective employers are influenced by your social media presence. Which inevitably leads to the question \u2013 what are they finding when they look you up?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
