{"id":23095,"date":"2023-11-20T14:56:45","date_gmt":"2023-11-20T06:56:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/?post_type=oasis-news&#038;p=23095"},"modified":"2023-11-20T14:56:46","modified_gmt":"2023-11-20T06:56:46","slug":"directory-consolidation-project-update","status":"publish","type":"oasis-news","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/oasis-news\/directory-consolidation-project-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Directory Consolidation Project Update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We\u2019re pleased to advise that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/oasis-news\/unlocking-enhanced-digital-connections-introducing-our-directory-consolidation-project\/?utm_medium=Email&amp;utm_source=Eloqua&amp;utm_campaign=&amp;utm_content=Directory%20Consolidation%3A%20In%20Scope%20Final\">Directory Consolidation project<\/a> which is a significant step forward in enabling more intuitive collaboration for students, successfully completed over the weekend.&nbsp; This has been a significant undertaking with all student identities and 24 million files requiring migration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlights include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access to Microsoft services restored by Saturday afternoon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All emails successfully migrated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All OneDrive files up to ~2 weeks ago successfully migrated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We have encountered unexpected delays with some OneDrive files (including OneNote) which are continuing to sync the last 2 weeks of data.&nbsp; This means that for some students, files will appear to be missing or to be an old version of a document.&nbsp; Rest assured your data is safe and will appear as soon as the sync has finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Files will re-appear gradually as the sync continues, and we expect these updates to be completed by Sunday afternoon.&nbsp; If you have missing files or information, please re-check your OneDrive and OneNote periodically throughout the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any<strong> concerns about this delay <\/strong>in<strong> syncing<\/strong>, please<strong> call 1300 222 888 <\/strong>and<strong> select Option 1 to reach our support team.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new Microsoft security measure has been introduced and you will notice a new prompt when logging in to confirm your account.\u00a0 When this message is displayed, please select <strong><em>Confirm<\/em><\/strong> and you will be able to access your account as usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"275\" height=\"313\" src=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/DCP1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23096\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As a reminder, if you use an email application (e.g. Outlook), you will need to remove your Curtin profile and re-add it to the app to access your emails, and existing mail forwarding rules on your student account will have been disrupted and you will need to reinstate them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions about the Directory Consolidation project, please refer to emails sent on 2 October 2023 and 6 November 2023 or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/oasis-news\/unlocking-enhanced-digital-connections-introducing-our-directory-consolidation-project\/?utm_medium=Email&amp;utm_source=Eloqua&amp;utm_campaign=&amp;utm_content=Directory%20Consolidation%3A%20In%20Scope%20Final\">OASIS news item<\/a> for further information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you encounter any issues, please contact <strong>Curtin Connect<\/strong> on <strong>1300 222 888<\/strong> and select Option 1 or submit an<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/ask\"><strong>online enquiry<\/strong><\/a> to reach our support team.&nbsp;
