Completing your uni journey comes with its own set of challenges, and for students with disabilities, whether physical or mental, these challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming.

We’ve put together some essential resources to help you succeed throughout your studies if you live with a disability or are a carer.

Learn about our AccessAbility Services

If you live with a disability, physical or mental health condition that affects your studies, or if you have a significant caring role for a person with a disability, you have access to a range of support through Curtin’s AccessAbility Service. AccessAbility is here to help you manage your studies, organise alternative exam requirements, offering mobility assistance and lots more.

Apply for a Curtin Access Plan

For personalised support, consider applying for a Curtin Access Plan (CAP)! A CAP is a document that outlines the reasonable adjustments recommended for a student with a disability, physical or mental health condition or a carer of a person with disability to enable equitable access to their studies and assessments.

Whether you have a diagnosed disability, are experiencing a temporary disability, or are fulfilling significant caregiving responsibilities, you could be eligible for a CAP to assist with your studies.
