{"id":24227,"date":"2024-04-15T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T01:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/?post_type=oasis-news&#038;p=24227"},"modified":"2024-04-09T13:16:24","modified_gmt":"2024-04-09T05:16:24","slug":"earn-academic-credit-for-a-regional-road-trip","status":"publish","type":"oasis-news","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/oasis-news\/earn-academic-credit-for-a-regional-road-trip\/","title":{"rendered":"Earn academic credit for a regional road trip!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Do you want to <strong>earn academic credit <\/strong>while exploring regional Western Australia?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are excited to introduce Go Local: The Regional Road Trip, the new elective that will provide you with a <strong>unique insight<\/strong> into life and work in regional WA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commencing in Semester 2, 2024, the unit will consist of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4 x 3 hour workshops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 x 7-day regional immersion experience (over the tuition free week)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 x overnight regional volunteer experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll get the chance to collaborate with industry partners and fellow students while making a <strong>meaningful impact<\/strong> in regional communities. Accommodation, transport, meals and all learning experiences will be covered as part of the unit fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This 25-credit elective is open to undergraduate students from <strong>all faculties<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Expressions of interest are <strong>now open<\/strong>!
