Curtin\u2019s sporting community shone bright in 2025 – celebrating incredible achievements at the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Sport Awards and delivering standout performances at the UniSport Nationals on the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the 2025 Curtin Sport Awards, held on 23 October at St Catherine\u2019s College, Olympian and Curtin graduate Jake Harvie was inducted into the Vice-Chancellor\u2019s Elite Athlete Alumni program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hosted by Curtin alumna, Olympian and sports journalist Ashleigh Nelson OLY, the event recognised the outstanding achievements of Curtin\u2019s student-athletes, volunteers, and clubs across all levels of sport and recreation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jake\u2019s journey from the small town of Dardanup to representing Australia at the 2024 Paris Olympics is an inspiring story of dedication and balance. Alongside his hockey success, Jake graduated from Curtin in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) – a true example of combining academic and sporting excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
