So are scammers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fake visa services and scholarship offers are popping up more often, targeting students with promises of fast approvals or generous funding. These scams can steal your money or personal information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DTS wants you to know what to look out for and how to stay safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Our recommendations:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scammers love urgency like \u201cApply now or miss out!\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Don\u2019t rush. Take your time, ask questions and speak with someone at Curtin Connect if you\u2019re unsure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No legit scholarship charges to apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And no real visa service will ever ask for crypto or gift cards. Upfront payments? That\u2019s a red flag.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check the source<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Real scholarships and visa services use sites ending with <strong><em>.gov.au <\/em><\/strong>or <strong><em>curtin.edu.au<\/em><\/strong>.
