{"id":30931,"date":"2026-04-20T09:25:26","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T01:25:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/?post_type=oasis-news&#038;p=30931"},"modified":"2026-04-20T09:25:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T01:25:29","slug":"share-your-lived-experience-and-shape-the-future-of-australian-higher-education","status":"publish","type":"oasis-news","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/oasis-news\/share-your-lived-experience-and-shape-the-future-of-australian-higher-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Share your lived experience and shape the future of Australian higher education"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Reading time: 1 minute<\/em><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Australia\u2019s higher education regulator, the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency (TEQSA) is inviting expressions of interest from current higher education students to join its inaugural Student Advisory Panel (SAP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This panel brings together domestic and international students from across the country to share their experiences and provide insight and advice on the issues that shape student outcomes and higher education quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a panel member, you will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>participate in collaborative discussions with other students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reflect on and share your lived experience of higher education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>contribute to identifying sector\u2011wide risks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provide feedback and recommendations to TEQSA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>help shape risk profiles and educational materials that may be shared with the sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Panel members will participate in the panel as individual students, and not represent other organisations or groups advocating for individual complaints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who is eligible?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can apply if you are currently enrolled at an Australian higher education provider listed on the National Register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TEQSA is expanding the student voices they engage, beyond elected student representatives.
