Curtin students are invited to be part of something meaningful with the launch of the Indigenous Futures Artwork Competition 2026 – a creative initiative designed to celebrate and elevate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices through art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of Curtin\u2019s ongoing ReconciliAction efforts and aligned with National Reconciliation Week, the competition aims to transform campus spaces into more culturally inclusive and welcoming environments, while encouraging deeper understanding and respect across the university community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are encouraged to be part of something bigger, using creativity to contribute to a more inclusive and culturally rich campus. This is an opportunity to share stories, celebrate Indigenous culture, and leave a lasting legacy through meaningful visual storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The competition is open, accessible and impactful, offering students the chance to have their work recognised, exhibited and permanently displayed on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than just an art competition, Indigenous Futures is about amplifying voices, fostering cultural awareness, and embedding storytelling into the heart of campus life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who can enter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Open to currently enrolled Â鶹ֱ²¥ students who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, as well as non-Indigenous students collaborating with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student, staff member or community member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What you can win<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Submissions open 8 April 2026 and close 6 May 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is more than an art competition – it\u2019s an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy on campus through creativity and storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
