{"id":4579,"date":"2009-05-27T02:04:58","date_gmt":"2009-05-26T18:04:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/students-and-staff-turn-out-en-masse-for-2009-freeway-bike-hike\/"},"modified":"2022-12-07T13:06:13","modified_gmt":"2022-12-07T05:06:13","slug":"students-and-staff-turn-out-en-masse-for-2009-freeway-bike-hike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/students-and-staff-turn-out-en-masse-for-2009-freeway-bike-hike\/","title":{"rendered":"Students and staff turn out en masse for 2009 Freeway Bike Hike"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Curtin students and staff once again showed their generosity and willingness  to help a good cause, by turning out en masse for the <em>2009 Freeway Bike Hike  for Asthma <\/em>recently.<\/p>\n<p>123 people signed on to join the Curtin team this year, in doing so beating  WA&#8217;s four other universities for back-to-back <em>Tertiary Sports WA  Participation Challenge Cups <\/em>in the event.<\/p>\n<p>Curtin has now taken out the title in the last four Cup events in a row, with  the next being the Bridges Fun Run on Sunday, April 5.
