Fully supported by the Business Internship Team, the program collaborates closely with industry partners and students to create internship opportunities that benefit both hosts and interns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Typically, students will complete 120 hours in the workplace over the study period. During this time, they will engage in meaningful work that allows them to apply and enhance the skills they have acquired throughout their studies. In addition to completing the required internship hours, students must also complete assessment items that reflect on their internship experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The Faculty of Business and Law strives to provide as many students as possible with internship opportunities through our strong industry connections. However, due to the competitive nature of these placements, not all students can be guaranteed an internship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>There are two types of internships available to students; a Facilitated Internship or a Bring Your Own (BYO) Internship<\/p>\n<p><strong>Facilitated Internships<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Facilitated Internship is sourced by Curtin\u2019s Industry and Community Hub team. By working with Curtin\u2019s extensive list of industry contacts, the Industry and Community Hub are able to curate a range of fantastic internship opportunities across a range of industries and fields of study. Students can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for a Facilitated Internship, and the Industry and Community Hub will support students throughout the placement process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bring Your Own Internships<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Bring Your Own (BYO) Internship allows students to source their own internship opportunity and submit it to the Industry and Community Hub for approval. Students are required to submit a BYO Internship Application Form, and all placements must meet all stipulated requirements and receive approval BEFORE an internship starts.<\/p>\n\n                <\/div>\n                            <div role=\"tabpanel\"\n                     aria-labelledby=\"tab-dom-eligibility\"\n                     id=\"tabpanel-dom-eligibility\"\n                     class=\"content tab-content--desktop\">\n                    <h3 class=\"h2\">Eligibility<\/h3>\n                    <p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">To be eligible to undertake a credited internship you must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">Be on \u2018Good Standing\u2019 with a minimum CWA of 60<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">Have adequate space on your study plan to receive credit<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">Be completing an internship that is within the scope of your academic studies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">Have completed a minimum of 300 credits if you are an undergraduate student or 100 credits if you are a postgraduate student<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n                <\/div>\n                            <div role=\"tabpanel\"\n                     aria-labelledby=\"tab-dom-facilitated-internships\"\n                     id=\"tabpanel-dom-facilitated-internships\"\n                     class=\"content tab-content--desktop\">\n                    <h3 class=\"h2\">Facilitated Internships<\/h3>\n                    <p>If you would like assistance sourcing an internship, the Industry and Community Hub team are here to help.<\/p>\n<p>By working with Curtin&#8217;s extensive list of industry contacts, the Industry and Community Hub can curate a range of fantastic internship opportunities across a range of industries and fields of study.<\/p>\n<p>While we cannot guarantee all students will be successful in securing an internship, the Industry and Community Hub team will work with you to maximise your chances of securing an internship.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to be considered for a Facilitated Internship, you will need to submit an Expression of Interest form, as below.<\/p>\n\n                <\/div>\n                            <div role=\"tabpanel\"\n                     aria-labelledby=\"tab-dom-bring-your-own-internship\"\n                     id=\"tabpanel-dom-bring-your-own-internship\"\n                     class=\"content tab-content--desktop\">\n                    <h3 class=\"h2\">Bring Your Own Internship<\/h3>\n                    <p>You can source and secure your own internship and submit it as a Bring Your Own (BYO) Internship.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend speaking with the Industry and Community Hub team first to confirm your eligibility before approaching organisations, to avoid securing a placement that cannot be credited.<\/p>\n<p>You will need to ensure that you internship meets the below requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your placement meets the hours required (generally 120 hours)<\/li>\n<li>Your potential supervisor is willing to complete an appraisal of your performance<\/li>\n<li>The internship will be completed in a safe work environment (your internship cannot take place in a home office)<\/li>\n<li>The internship is related to your major\/degree and will allow you to further develop the skills you have acquired through your studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please review the <a href=\"https:\/\/acrobat.adobe.com\/id\/urn:aaid:sc:AP:cf49c732-20bd-440b-b6a9-151a4728b27c?viewer%21megaVerb=group-discover\">BYO Internship requirements<\/a> for further information.<\/p>\n<p>Please note:\u00a0<strong>You must have your internship approved\u00a0BEFORE\u00a0you start. We cannot credit internships that have already started or been completed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you would like to have a BYO internship credited towards your degree, you will need to submit a BYO internship application form, as below.<\/p>\n<p>The Industry and Community Hub team will review your study plan to confirm your eligibility for a 25-credit internship unit and assess your proposed internship for suitability.<\/p>\n\n                <\/div>\n                            <div role=\"tabpanel\"\n                     aria-labelledby=\"tab-dom-key-dates\"\n                     id=\"tabpanel-dom-key-dates\"\n                     class=\"content tab-content--desktop\">\n                    <h3 class=\"h2\">Key dates<\/h3>\n                    <p>You can submit a Facilitated Internship application or a BYO Internship application at any point during the year.<\/p>\n<p>When you submit your application, you will need to select a study period that you are looking to undertake your internship in.<\/p>\n<p>Please note the below deadlines for submissions for each study period.
