The steps below can guide you through the process of accepting your offer and enrolling into units.<\/p>\n<p>If this isn&#8217;t your first study period, but you&#8217;d like a refresher on how to enrol, please see the below section <strong>How do I enrol into units?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/askcurtinfaq.custhelp.com\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/464\">Activate your OASIS account<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Once you are offered a place at Curtin, you will automatically have access to OASIS. You will need to activate your account to access all of the core services required to complete the key tasks related to your Curtin experience.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>2. <a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/3191\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/3191\/\">Accept your offer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/faq\/a_id\/4016\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/2907\/\">Meet your conditions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>4. Select your <a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/faq\/a_id\/2268\">major<\/a> (if applicable to your course).<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/163\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/163\">Enrol in units<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>6. Create your timetable by <a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/1303\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/1303\">registering for classes<\/a> (if you&#8217;re studying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/managing-your-course\/attendance-mode\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/managing-your-course\/attendance-mode\/\">internally<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">7. Complete other preparation tasks such as <a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/2238\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/2238\">checking your details<\/a> are up-to-date and\u00a0ordering your <a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/2348\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/2348\">Curtin student ID card<\/a>. You can check under the &#8216;My Experiences&#8217; tab in OASIS for a list of other helpful tasks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>8. Get ready for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/orientation\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/orientation\/\">O-Week<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-How-do-I-enrol-into-units?\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"How-do-I-enrol-into-units?\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-How-do-I-enrol-into-units?\">How do I enrol into units?<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"How-do-I-enrol-into-units?\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">When enrolling, you should complete your enrolment for all the study periods in the calendar year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you are studying via Open Universities Australia (OUA), head over to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.open.edu.au\/account\/student\/sign-in?requestUrl=\/student-hub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OUA Student Hub<\/a> to complete your enrolment.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">If you are studying via Â鶹ֱ²¥ directly, please follow the steps below:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Login to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/oasis.curtin.edu.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OASIS<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Click on\u00a0<strong>eStudent<\/strong>\u00a0on the Welcome page.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Click on the\u00a0<strong>My Enrolment<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Click on <strong>Enrol in Units<\/strong> in the left-hand menu and select the course you are admitted into.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">You may be required to agree to the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/3594\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-answer-id=\"3594\">terms and conditions<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to view\u00a0your study plan for the selected course.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Your study plan should now be displayed. Some courses will require selection of a major, specialisation or stream before you can enrol in units. View the <a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/3102\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-answer-id=\"3102\">self-selection instructions<\/a>\u00a0for assistance. You might need to choose your elective\/option units to add them into your study plan as well. View the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/3348\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-answer-id=\"3348\">elective unit enrolment<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/3349\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-answer-id=\"3349\">optional unit enrolment<\/a>\u00a0instructions for assistance if applicable.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Only units highlighted in blue are available for enrolment. If\u00a0a unit is not highlighted, click\u00a0<strong>Unavailable?<\/strong>\u00a0under the unit name to view the unit availability and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/1304\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-answer-id=\"1304\">requisites<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Tick the checkbox on the right hand side under the\u00a0<strong>Enrol?<\/strong>\u00a0column to select a unit. If a unit is offered in multiple study periods, you will need to select the relevant study period from\u00a0the drop down menu under the unit name.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">After making your unit selections, click\u00a0<strong>Proceed to Enrol<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The confirmation page will display your selections. Ensure the units and study periods are\u00a0correct and then click\u00a0<strong>Enrol<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Need help with your enrolment? Log into\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/oasis.curtin.edu.au\/\">OASIS<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">2. Click on the\u00a0<strong>My Studies<\/strong> tab.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">3. Click on\u00a0<strong>eStudent.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">4. Click on the\u00a0<strong>My Enrolment<\/strong> tab.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">5. Click on\u00a0<strong>Email my Enrolment Advice<\/strong>.\u00a0This will send a copy of your Enrolment Advice to your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/student-details-and-id\/update-your-details\/#:~:text=Your%20Curtin%20provided%20email%20address,your%20Curtin%20provided%20email%20address.&amp;text=Log%20into%20OASIS.,-Click%20on%20the\">preferred email account<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The Enrolment Advice will show\u00a0the units you are enrolled in, as well as\u00a0the dates and times your classes run. Only units that you are currently enrolled in will appear on this document. Future units that you are yet to enrol in, as well as units that have been graded, will be excluded. If you are not currently enrolled in any units, even if you have completed units previously, you will not be able to generate an Enrolment Advice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">If you are a research student, you\u00a0can obtain a\u00a0research\u00a0enrolment advice by contacting\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/research.curtin.edu.au\/contact-us\/\">Graduate Research School<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Which-units-should-I-enrol-into?\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Which-units-should-I-enrol-into?\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Which-units-should-I-enrol-into?\">Which units should I enrol into?<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Which-units-should-I-enrol-into?\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">If you&#8217;re studying directly through Curtin should refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/handbook.curtin.edu.au\/?study_type=course&amp;page=1&amp;search_text=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Curtin Handbook<\/a> to find out which units you should enrol in. The handbook displays the course structure based on a full-time study load. You will need to adjust your enrolment if you are studying part-time, you can seek advice from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/connect\/#:~:text=Future%20Students%20team-,Get%20in%20touch,-Visit%20us\">Curtin Connect<\/a> if you are unsure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">To create a study plan, follow the steps below:<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><br \/>\n1. Search for your course on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/handbook.curtin.edu.au\/?study_type=course&amp;page=1&amp;search_text=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Curtin Handbook<\/a><\/strong>. Once you have located your course from the search results, click on your course.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">2. Scroll down to the <strong>Course structure<\/strong> section.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">3. Click <strong>Expand All<\/strong> to view the complete study plan or click on the required year and\/or study periods if you know which part of the course you are at.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">4. Refer to the year and semester that applies to your current study progress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">5. Check you have met the unit prerequisites and the unit is running in the relevant study period by clicking on each individual unit and scrolling down to the sections <strong>Prerequisites<\/strong> (where available) and <strong>Location and delivery<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">If you need assistance selecting your units after viewing the handbook,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/ask\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">submit an online enquiry<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">If you are studying through Open Universities Australia (OUA), you can view your\u00a0enrolment planner or download the Degree Guide from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.edu.au\/courses\/degrees?universityName=Curtin%20University\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Courses page<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-What-are-the-different-types-of-units?\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"What-are-the-different-types-of-units?\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-What-are-the-different-types-of-units?\">What are the different types of units?<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"What-are-the-different-types-of-units?\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">There are 4 different types of units you may come across within the structure of your course:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">\u25aa\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/oasisapps.curtin.edu.au\/help\/estudent\/my_study_plan-unit_enrol.cfm#core\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Core units<\/a>:<\/strong> Compulsory units within a course and\/or major or specialisation. These units must be completed to meet the requirements of your course. Core units are marked with a \u201cC\u201d in eStudent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">\u25aa\u00a0<\/span><strong><a style=\"font-size: 14pt\" href=\"https:\/\/oasisapps.curtin.edu.au\/help\/estudent\/my_study_plan-unit_enrol.cfm#optalt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alternate core units<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>:<\/strong> Interchangeable core units. Your selection may be dictated by a number of factors including your course structure, and whether you need specific units if you are wanting to course switch or enter certain a major.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><br \/>\n\u25aa\u00a0<\/span><strong><a style=\"font-size: 14pt\" href=\"https:\/\/oasisapps.curtin.edu.au\/help\/estudent\/my_study_plan-unit_enrol.cfm#option\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Option units<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>:<\/strong> A unit that must be chosen from a specified list. Optional units are marked with an \u201cO\u201d in eStudent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">\u25aa\u00a0<\/span><strong><a style=\"font-size: 14pt\" href=\"https:\/\/oasisapps.curtin.edu.au\/help\/estudent\/my_study_plan-unit_enrol.cfm#option\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elective units<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>:<\/strong> A unit that can be chosen from any faculty as long as the requisites have been met. Elective units are marked with an \u201cE\u201d in eStudent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">You can view the structure of your course in the <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 14pt\" href=\"http:\/\/handbook.curtin.edu.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Curtin Handbook<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-How-do-I-change-my-unit-attendance-mode-from-internal-to-fully-online?\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"How-do-I-change-my-unit-attendance-mode-from-internal-to-fully-online?\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-How-do-I-change-my-unit-attendance-mode-from-internal-to-fully-online?\">How do I change my unit attendance mode from internal to fully online?<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"How-do-I-change-my-unit-attendance-mode-from-internal-to-fully-online?\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>To change your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/managing-your-course\/attendance-mode\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attendance mode<\/a>\u00a0for a unit\u00a0you are already enrolled into, you will need to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/faq\/a_id\/2763\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-answer-id=\"989\">withdraw<\/a>\u00a0from the unit and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/students.connect.curtin.edu.au\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/163\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-answer-id=\"163\">enrol<\/a>\u00a0again, this time selecting your preferred attendance mode.<\/p>\n<p>The last enrolment deadline also applies to attendance mode changes. Please check the dates and deadlines on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/students\/essentials\/academic-calendar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Academic Calendar<\/a>\u00a0prior to amending your enrolment.<\/p>\n<p>The attendance modes offered for a particular unit can be searched for on the <a href=\"https:\/\/handbook.curtin.edu.au\/?study_type=unit&amp;page=1&amp;search_text=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Curtin Handbook<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-What-are-requisites?\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"What-are-requisites?\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-What-are-requisites?\">What are requisites?<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"What-are-requisites?\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>Unit requisites are conditions applied to units that must\u00a0be met prior to enrolment in a particular unit. There are\u00a0different types of unit requisites.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Pre-requisites<\/b>: Certain conditions need to be met (e.g. completing a specific unit) before you can enrol in the specified unit.<\/li>\n<li><b>Co-requisites<\/b>: Units that must be studied together. If you withdraw from one unit, you will be automatically withdrawn from the other.<\/li>\n<li><b>Anti-requisites<\/b>: Units that are similar in content, may be listed as anti-requisites of each other.
