When university gets busy, it\u2019s easy to miss important updates. Messages on OASIS help keep you on track by bringing together alerts, Official Communications, and reminders \u2014 all personalised to your enrolment, so you\u2019ll only see what\u2019s relevant to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some messages appear on your Home page, while others are delivered through your Communications Centre. Knowing the difference helps you stay informed and take action when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alerts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Alerts are messages that need your action – like paying fees or resolving an enrolment issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alerts appear on your Home page and in your Communications Centre (the speech bubble icon in the top navigation bar). They stay visible until the issue is resolved, which can take up to 24 hours after you’ve taken the required action. If you see an alert, don\u2019t ignore them – acting on it early helps you avoid delays and stay on track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Official Communications (OCs)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Official Communications are formal messages from Curtin, such as enrolment confirmations, fee notices, results, and graduation information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OCs are part of OASIS messages, but they don\u2019t appear on your Home page. They’re delivered through the Communications Centre in OASIS<\/a> (which you can access through the speech bubble icon in the top navigation bar), and they’re separate from your student email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Official Communications replace traditional posted letters. They can’t be deleted, and Curtin monitors when students read them. You’re expected to check your Communications Centre at least once a week, as these messages are time-sensitive and can affect your enrolment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reminders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Reminders gives you a heads-up about upcoming key dates, like census deadlines and results release. You\u2019ll see reminders on your Home page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike alerts, reminders can be dismissed. If nothing’s coming up, you can toggle on daily tips and quotes via the three-dot menu on the Reminders widget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What if I don’t understand my alert?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
