If you&#8217;re an international student, please <a href=\"https:\/\/central.curtin.edu.au\/study\/applying\/pathways\/\">view pathways<\/a> available to you.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/mimas-block>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for Special Consideration with Â鶹ֱ²¥, please follow the steps below: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/study\/applying\/special-consideration\/application-guidelines\/\">guidelines for application<\/a> to see if you\u2019re eligible for special consideration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Submit your course application:  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<mimas-block \n        block-name=\"accordion\"\n        role=\"complementary\"\n        aria-label=\"Accordion content\"\n        data-segment=\"all\">\n\n                \n\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-If-you-are-applying-for-Semester-1-through-TISC:\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"If-you-are-applying-for-Semester-1-through-TISC:\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-If-you-are-applying-for-Semester-1-through-TISC:\">If you are applying for Semester 1 through TISC:<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"If-you-are-applying-for-Semester-1-through-TISC:\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>Apply for your Â鶹ֱ²¥ course\/s through TISC, per the standard TISC application process.<\/p>\n<p>3. Prepare and submit your EAS application and documentation:<\/p>\n<p>You can submit your EAS application after you have completed your initial TISC application. There is no separate fee for the EAS application but be aware of the EAS related deadlines for the TISC offer rounds.<\/p>\n<p>To apply, log in with your TISC Number and click on Educational Access Scheme on the side menu.<\/p>\n<p>For specific information on what documents you will need to provide as part of your EAS application through TISC, please refer to: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tisc.edu.au\/static\/guide\/eas.tisc\">https:\/\/www.tisc.edu.au\/static\/guide\/eas.tisc<\/a><\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-If-you-are-applying-for-Semester-1-directly-to-Curtin,-or-for-Semester-2:-\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"If-you-are-applying-for-Semester-1-directly-to-Curtin,-or-for-Semester-2:-\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-If-you-are-applying-for-Semester-1-directly-to-Curtin,-or-for-Semester-2:-\">If you are applying for Semester 1 directly to Curtin, or for Semester 2: <\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"If-you-are-applying-for-Semester-1-directly-to-Curtin,-or-for-Semester-2:-\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>Apply for your Â鶹ֱ²¥ course\/s directly via the course page of your desired course on our website <a href=\"https:\/\/curtin.edu.au\/study\/\">https:\/\/curtin.edu.au\/study\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. Download the <a href=\"https:\/\/applynow.blob.core.windows.net\/documents\/UAC%20Templates\/SpecialConsiderationForm.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">special consideration application form<\/a> [.pdf \u2013 270kB] or call the Admissions Office on 1300 222 888 and we will send you a hard copy of the form.<\/p>\n<p>4. Download the <a href=\"https:\/\/tisc.edu.au\/static-fixed\/download\/eas-medical-evidence-form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">medical evidence form<\/a> [.pdf \u2013 799kB] and have this completed by your health professional if you are applying for special consideration based on a medical condition. If it is impossible to have the Medical Evidence Form completed please state the reasons for this in your personal statement.<\/p>\n<p>5. Write a personal statement which should be an honest explanation, in your own words, of the circumstances which have affected your preparation for entry to University and the severity of their impact on your studies. It should be no more than the equivalent of one A4 page of single-spaced typing in length and must be signed by you. Only the first page of any personal statement will be considered. If contact has already been made with the relevant Course Coordinator or Head of School, University Counselling, or Ethics Equity and Social Justice, you should note the details in your personal statement.<\/p>\n<p>6. Every circumstance you put forward for consideration, which you believe has affected your studies, must be supported by an official statement of confirmation by an appropriate professional. If you state that illness has affected your studies then you should not only have a medical certificate but you must have official confirmation of the impact of the circumstances on your studies. This could be stated on the Medical Evidence Form or school leavers could obtain a statement from your year coordinator to confirm the impact on your studies.<\/p>\n<p>7. Attach the following to the completed Special Consideration application:<\/p>\n<p>o Your personal statement<br \/>\no Medical certificates and\/ or medical evidence form<br \/>\no Statements from your school\/ institution regarding the impact on your studies<br \/>\no School reports for years 11 and 12<br \/>\no Other documents as needed<br \/>\no Do not supply your CV or personal references from family or others.<\/p>\n<p>8. Submit your documents via email to The Manager, Admissions Office at <a href=\"mailto:ascadmissions@curtin.edu.au\">ascadmissions@curtin.edu.au<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n        \n<\/mimas-block>\n\n\n<p>If applying for special consideration based on a medical condition or disability we recommend applicants contact an AccessAbility Advisor at the AccessAbility services on <a href=\"tel:+61 8 9266 7850\">+61 8 9266 7850<\/a> or email <a href=\"mailto:access.ability@curtin.edu.au\">access.ability@curtin.edu.au<\/a> to seek advice about studying at the University. <br \/><br \/>At this stage it will also be beneficial for applicants to speak with the relevant Course Coordinator or Head of School regarding obtaining further course information; the AccessAbility services is able to assist with that liaison.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Semester deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n<mimas-block \n        block-name=\"accordion\"\n        role=\"complementary\"\n        aria-label=\"Accordion content\"\n        data-segment=\"all\">\n\n                \n\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-First-semester\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"First-semester\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-First-semester\">First semester<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"First-semester\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>Special consideration applications (EAS) &#8211; please refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tisc.edu.au\/static\/guide\/tisc-calendar-current.tisc\">TISC important dates<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n        \n                            \n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-title-Second-semester\">\n            <button type=\"button\" class=\"accordion__heading\" aria-controls=\"Second-semester\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n            <div class=\"title\" id=\"accordion-title-Second-semester\">Second semester<\/div>\n            <div class=\"icon\"><\/div>\n        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\" id=\"Second-semester\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>It is preferred that special consideration applications be received no later than one month prior to commencement of second semester to allow time for assessing and processing prior to the start of the semester. The last date to submit applications is the beginning of the semester however, this could delay the applicant receiving an offer before the semester starts.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The special consideration panel members meet on Monday, two weeks prior to the commencement of second semester.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Notification will be emailed by the Wednesday, two weeks prior to the commencement of the\u00a0second semester.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> if applying for <strong>second semester <\/strong>entry please apply for your course online via the <strong>apply now<\/strong> button on your desired course page.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>If you wish to apply for special consideration this application procedure is in addition to the application for admission process and should be emailed to the Admissions Office at <a href=\"mailto:ascadmission@curtin.edu.au\">ascadmission@curtin.edu.au<\/a>.
