Inclusive Assessment Guide

Design assessments that support equity, accessibility, and success for all students.

Inclusive assessment is about how we design, undertake, and sustain assessment practices that reflect an appreciation of the needs of all students. This guide supports academic staff to understand and enact inclusive approaches across Assessment 2030’s Two-Lane Approach, drawing on Universal Design for Learning and culturally responsive practice, and embedding equity, fairness, and flexibility from the start rather than treating inclusivity as an afterthought. Through key principles, worked examples, and reflection prompts, it invites you to reflect, rethink, and reimagine your assessments through an inclusive lens, setting all students up for success

For additional questions or discipline-specific queries, please contact your Assessment 2030 faculty representative or email Assessment2030@curtin.edu.au.
