麻豆直播 and the student-led Curtin Marketing Association will host the inaugural Australia and New Zealand Marketing Academy (ANZMAC) Mid-Year Doctoral Colloquium at Curtin鈥檚 Bentley Campus from 30 June to 2 July 2014.
The event is open to outstanding marketing PhD students worldwide who will compete for the opportunity to present their research and receive feedback and mentorship from leading academics and industry experts.
The event is the first of its kind to be held separately from the ANZMAC annual conference.
Curtin鈥檚 selection as the host venue for the inaugural event, showcases the University鈥檚 strong industry links and strong research focus.
Conference co-chair, Professor Ian Phau of Curtin鈥檚 School of Marketing said the event would give doctoral students a tremendous opportunity for exposure in their research fields, while also reinforcing Curtin鈥檚 position as a leader in Western Australian business education.
鈥淲e wanted to do something different for this Colloquium, with a strong emphasis on creating an engaging and nurturing environment for research听students from around the world to gain constructive feedback on their theses, make new contacts, and be inspired to pursue a career in research,鈥 Professor Phau said.
Professor Nigel de Bussy, Head of Curtin鈥檚 School of Marketing said the University was delighted to be selected as host for the inaugural mid-year Colloquium.
鈥淥ur goal is to celebrate achievement in marketing scholarship in a friendly and supportive atmosphere,鈥 Professor de Bussy said.
The program features several prominent speakers including internationally renowned scholars. The CEO of AirAsia X, Mr Azran Osman, will be the keynote speaker on the evening of 30 June, where he will talk about challenging the aviation status quo.
Prize sponsors AirAsia X and Vittoria Coffee will be presenting prizes for 鈥楤est Poster鈥, 鈥楶eople鈥檚 Choice Poster鈥 and 鈥楤est Paper鈥.
